
Not only can you see yourself accomplishing future dreams, a clear vision also works very well in the short term too. While you’re going after your exciting and amazing goals for the further future, let’s not forget that your life unfolds on a day to day basis!
I’m sure you have a whole mental list of smaller activities and accomplishments that when experienced often, would bring you joy and move your life into the realm of the super powerful. In fact, it’s living a good life every day that make the biggest, most significant and positive impact on your wellbeing. So let’s get to it.
Try this Exercise: Envision and Intend Your Day
Every morning this week sit down for a few minutes in a quiet place and gather your thoughts. Take just 5 minutes of reflective time to create an intention for you day. If the only time you have available before your household gets hectic is while you’re still in bed, you can do this before your feet even hit the floor. Think about the day ahead. Take this moment to intentionally and deliberately envision your day and how you wish for it to unfold. What do you have planned, what are you anticipating? If you expect good things, you’ll get good things. Declare what you want to see happening. All you have to do is envision yourself enjoying all the elements and encounters that you want to experience today. Don’t over interpret this. Be light and remain open. And don’t worry about how this is going to work! You don’t have to know how it works to get benefit. Just try it!
If it’s easier for you to write then it is to close your eyes
and see visuals, start by writing:
“Today I intend to create and experience the following…” and freely write for just a minute or two until you feel complete. Then put the page away, relax and let the day take care of itself. Allow yourself to be amazed at what unfolds.
